I’m so glad we had this time together,
Just to have a laugh, or sing a song.
Seems we just got started and before you know it
Comes the time we have to say, ‘So long.’
Now I didn’t break into song last night, but the Cypress Creek Christian Church Executive Committee had its final meeting for 2014, and as we were bringing our time to a close I thought of this song. More so, I reflected on my appreciation for Larry, Susan, Mike and John. Each of them has brought wonderful gifts and insights, and though we did not agree on every topic, there appeared to be real respect around the table. I always consider it an honor to have had the opportunity to work closely with faithful and committed people. If you see a member of this group or any leader in the life of the church, take the time to say, “Thank you!” And be prayerful for our 2015 Leadership Team and all the wonderful opportunities and challenges they will face. God has been good to Cypress Creek Christian Church! Good indeed!
Prayer: I thank you, God, as I reflect on those who have given of themselves for this little part of your kingdom that some simply call The Creek. Amen.

Bruce – hopefully if you do feel the urge to break into song at one of the many CCCC functions – you will have the freedom to do 🙂 Carol Burnett was on an episode of the new Hawaii 5 – 0 TV show a couple of weeks ago and she sang in that same style from her TV show…..it brought back a lot of really old memories for me.
