Thought for the Day: The lead singer of the group U2 is Bono, and I love his thinking around the power of music. He says, “Music can change the world because it can change people.” The last two weekends, we heard some fabulous music at Cypress Creek Christian Church. It was stunning, fun, smile-worthy and joyful. I thoroughly enjoyed both concerts, and though we are not to be prideful people, I believe all the participants should be quite gratified by the offering they made and the lives they touched. Personally, I want to thank everyone who gave of themselves to make it happen. I also want to thank the Contemporary Concert Participants who provided me with a gift following the concert. They knew my love of Star Wars, and because of our Advent theme, they presented me with what you see in the picture below. Each person who participated autographed the unique Christmas decoration. I love it, and it will be a great reminder of this Advent Season when we celebrated the awakening of a child.
Prayer: Let us continue to sing of your gift, O Incarnate God, and made the music we offer inspire many to follow and serve the child of Bethlehem. Amen.
