Scripture: Matthew 1:24-25
When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took her as his wife, but had no marital relations with her until she had borne a son; and he named him Jesus.
Thought for the Day: Joseph was about ready to jettison Mary because she had become pregnant, and Joseph was pretty certain he was not the father. Through a divine revelation, he decided to stay with Mary and participate in something God was doing…though it probably made no sense to him at the time. Because of that decision, amazing things happened. How many of us have been ready to toss in the towel because of our gut reaction to some event? How many of us have been ready to call it quits because our initial perception of something was negative? Even when we are absolutely certain we have all the information needed to make a good decision, it probably makes sense to prayerfully seek God’s opinion on the topic. Otherwise, we might miss out on an amazing thing God is doing.
Prayer: Give me just enough patience to ask you, Loving Lord, for a little advice. Amen.
