Leadership Class-CCCC Vision and Mission…a work in progress

Ecclesiological Etchings

Wednesday Night-In a class I was teaching, I put forth a Vision and Mission statement for discussion.  I look forward to further feedback and conversation.  Thanks everyone!!

THE WHY – Because God first loved us… (1st John 4:11)

VISION – Courageous In Love – Bold In Serving
(Other Thoughts-A Community of Welcomed Leftovers or A Community for the Rest of Us)

MISSION – Invite people into an experience of God’s audacious love shown in Jesus Christ, and then equip disciples whose embodiment of that same love is contagious (unmistakeable).

CORE VALUES
Self-sacrificing
Relevant
Hospitality
Integrity
Intentional
Accountable
Faithful
Forgiving

  2. I realize many might feel like a “leftover” but not everyone. Maybe a community that welcomes “leftovers”?? Truly, I hate to think of anyone as a leftover. I hate that anyone feels like a leftover.

    1. That was some else’s suggestion, and though the words didn’t quite hit me, I liked the idea of a church where those who feel like leftovers are not leftovers but fully welcomed.

      1. Oh, I agree! So glad they feel welcomed. So glad they now feel a part of the community. Just a sad thought.
