Prayer for the Week: What would it mean, Gracious God, if we decided to not use your forgiveness as our easy way out? Instead, what would it look like to demonstrate your grace through acts of kindness and goodness with every breath? What would it mean for us to make a commitment to be about the good works of justice, reconciliation and healing in the world? More than a New Year’s Resolution, encourage us to seek a holy obligation to a faith that is consistent beyond what most people would expect of a Jesus follower. What would it mean for those around us to experience an onslaught of kindness? How might it impact a city if a church doubled down on its quota of goodness? By your grace, let us find out. Amen.
