Scripture: Romans 12:12
Be happy in your hope, stand your ground when you’re in trouble, and devote yourselves to prayer.
Thought for the Day: Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “A weed is a plant we’ve found no use for yet.” I can’t say for sure, but I would guess that Emerson would put the emphasis on the word yet. Please don’t take that to suggest that everything ugly and messy, in time, will look beautiful or useful. What I do wish to suggest is that time has power and we cannot expect everything to change or look different or heal overnight. There will be days when prayer, holding our own and clinging to hope is all we can muster, but maybe that is enough for now. Time has power assuming we don’t lose all hope today.
Prayer: As I continue to connect to you in prayer, O Merciful God, I believe I shall find the grounding I need for today. Amen.
