Be happy with those who are happy, and cry with those who are crying.
Prayer: Our hearts continue to ache for what we have seen, but we know the ache is only going to be compounded as we witness the suffering of sisters and brothers along the East Coast. Come among us with fresh power, Holy Spirit! Make your essence conspicuous and concrete. Where there is hurt and fear, whether here in the United States or where an earthquake has struck Central America, allow for our responses to be just as conspicuous and concrete. May our relationship with you be for us more than a selfish joy, but a joyful gratitude that cascades with conspicuous and concrete gifts of love and hope. We offer these words in the name of your Incarnate Word whose life made the divine essence conspicuous and concrete. Amen.
