Lord, teach me to be generous.
(in ways that push me beyond comfortable).
Teach me to serve you as you deserve;
(for a life of service is how I show appreciation);
to give and not to count the cost;
(for you gave without any concern)
to fight and not to heed the wounds;
(for by the wounds creation is healed)
to toil and not to seek for rest;
(for the life of faith does not pause);
to labor and not to ask for reward
(for my reward is the blessing of others)
save that of knowing that I do your will.
(and for that, I am complete).
