Scripture: John 1:4-5
…in him was life, and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
Thought for the Day: Life and light go together. Most everything requires light, specifically sunlight, to live, and the absence of light will lead to death. Too many people attempt to live their spiritual lives in the darkness, but it does not take long before the darkness will begin consuming the soul and drawing every ounce of life from any living creature. For those who yearn for life, they most find the light. The good news is how the light comes to those who are in the dark, and because the light is present, there is no darkness that can be victorious. The light will bring life even to those who feel as if there is only darkness.
Prayer: Be the light, O Source of Life. Be the light in the darkness of my life. Amen.
