Scripture: Mark 1:14-15
After John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee announcing God’s good news, saying, “Now is the time! Here comes God’s kingdom! Change your hearts and lives, and trust this good news!”
Thought for the Day: On this day in 2006, the tweet was born. This is the 10th anniversary of Twitter, the immensely popular communication tool. Each day there are millions of tweets that are utter rubbish and probably a waste of time and energy, but there are also insightful, helpful, funny, encouraging and joyful measured messages that enhance humanity in some small way. As Christians, we are people of the message, yet it has too often been presented in such a way that most would describe it as rubbish, a waste of time and energy. Today, let us renew our commitment to presenting the Good News in a way that is worthy of its true character.
Prayer: Holy One, allow my presentation of your Good News to measure up to the height and breadth of the love that makes this news good. Amen.
