Those who make peace sow the seeds of justice by their peaceful acts.
Thought for the Day: Those in power often demand peace without any expectation that there be justice. What I hear too often are those whose only definition of peace is a lack of violence and a silence when it comes to those who suffer injustice. Of course, injustice is violence. People are content with a peaceful inside their quiet bubble. Peace, according to James, is more than a state of mind. It is a way of life that is expressed through seeds of peace that germinate and grow into individual and corporate relationships that are just and right.
Prayer: Make the good works of justice and peace continue to grow in my life and in the community around me. This is a request I make to you, O God, for I know I need your assistance in this good work. Amen.
