The word of Christ must live in you richly. Teach and warn each other with all wisdom by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Thought for the Day: Wow!! Last night was simply a WOW! We sang songs and spiritual songs, and I could feel the gratitude spilling forth from the hearts of many who had gathered. Rev. Gary Groves based his message on the above passage, and it was exactly what I needed to hear – exactly what many clearly needed to hear. I declare this morning that God is good! But my hope is that those words come with an openness for the word of Christ to live within us richly. It is one thing to declare how good God is, but it is something very different to allow the gift of God to enter into our lives and begin shaping and guide us in the ways of Jesus. I believe some really good work was done last night, not only by the musicians and Gary, but by God!
Prayer: Allow your gifts to be poured into us, Holy God. Allow the life-giving word to reside more fully within us. This is our request and our hope. Amen.
