Prayer for the Week: O Holy God who moves with us through each season of the year and every season of life, we acknowledge the change in our schedules as we move from the dormant stage of winter to the renewed energy of spring. With new life bursting all around, we find ourselves taking notice of the awakening that appears to animate every living creature. Allow this energy, infused with your Spirit, to awaken us and to animate our lives of faith. As your church moves into these post-Easter weeks, keep us connected to the Good News of the empty tomb. Let us sing resurrection and dance with those who have found rebirth. Wherever you need us to go and to become this message of life, we ask that your Spirit whisper to us and then guide us into the Judeas and Samarias of our 21st century context – for so many individuals near and far need the unconditional love made real in Jesus. May his life and witness continue to encourage our willingness to listen and follow. Amen.
