On this first day of summer vacation for many of our young people (a final day of work for many of our teachers), I wish to express gratitude for all those who professionally or voluntarily spend their energies encouraging our most important and precious resource – our children. Sadly, those who do the best work on their behalf are too often the brunt of political and budgetary fights. God bless all those who continue to keep focused on the good they do and not all the negative and empty rhetoric.
Prayer: For all the encouragers you send our way, O God of Grace, we are both blessed and thankful. Each of us is a better person because of those encouraging words along life’s journey. Amen.
