PRAYER… O God of Heaven, O God who came to Earth – We are aware of the many individuals and families dramatically impacted by the storms. We ache for them and with them, yet we claim by faith that you are present to them and continue to be present with a love that knows no end. We are aware of those who are displaced by the storms. Their
Every Sunday, we gather around a table, a table representing your generosity. People of – different generations, different perspectives, different ethnicities, different family circumstance, find community and wholeness at that table. We are grateful for
You may have heard: We will never change the world by just going to church. We will only change it by being the church. Prayer: I hear the call of your Holy Spirit inviting me to join others in the work of your grace-filled community. Father God, draw me close – first, draw me to your amazing gift of love. Allow me to hear again your claim upon
The French philosopher, Albert Camus, wrote: Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present. Merciful God, you are the same yesterday, today and forever. Your generosity of self is so beautifully displayed in Jesus Christ, yet you were giving without condition before and you have continued to give beyond measure since. And come, follow me.” Thought for the Day: Where have I been? These words have been read and spoken by me more times than I could count, yet it was only
Scripture: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Thought for the Day: I love those words, and the language of this amazing and life-giving Word taking on flesh might just be the most beautiful imagery of poetry ever documented. This Word continues to be alive through the Holy Spirit – the Spirit of Christ that moves
Scripture: Acts 3:26 After God raised his servant, he sent him to you first—to bless you by enabling each of you to turn from your evil ways. Thought for the Day: There has been a lot of talk around the idea of evil lately, and I figured I’d wade into the muck at least to my knees. In the last week, the shooter in Las Vegas has been
