You may have heard: We will never change the world by just going to church. We will only change it by being the church.
Prayer: I hear the call of your Holy Spirit inviting me to join others in the work of your grace-filled community. Father God, draw me close – first, draw me to your amazing gift of love. Allow me to hear again your claim upon my life, the claim that I am your beloved child. Then, embraced as a member of your family, draw me to the members of that family for the work of the Great Commandment. With the same abundant and far-reaching care extended to me, allow my life to touch the lives of others. I yearn to be a full and active participant in your church, the community ignited and empowered by the Holy Spirit. The world needs a witness, and the church is your vehicle for the Gospel. Allow for the church everywhere, but specifically Cypress Creek Christian Church, to live as your beloved community for the mission that all started with your decision to first love us. Amen.
