Prayer for the Week: As the Psalms proclaim, you are the giver of inward peace. O Gentle and Compassionate God, you are the One who mends relationships and heals the fractured places of life. Whether it is confession of our own sinfulness or the sorrowful cry when we have been wounded by others, you are there. Allow your Spirit to spill over us; allow your Spirit to be poured into us; allow your Spirit to restore all that is dry and cracked within us. May your Spirit at work within us be at work within your church. With strength and inspiration, bring the many parts and gifts of your beloved community together for the good work of sharing your Gospel of love. Whether it is worship or outreach, fellowship or discipleship, allow what we do in the name of Jesus to embody the love he first shared with all of creation. We request these things in the belief that we can do them with your help. Amen.
