A Prayer For the Week: God of All Creation, we are thankful for the generosity of your Spirit. You so loved the world and every single aspect of the world, that you brought your redeeming love through Jesus. May we honor the depth to which you were willing to go, for you crossed every boundary and barrier to clearly reveal this love. Today, as we enjoy and celebrate this freely given gift, allow us to see it as more than a gift. It is a model for how we too are to live our lives. Encourage us to stretch ourselves and our faith beyond what is comfortable. Where the world has suggested that we should be afraid of the other or even where other Christians have suggested that certain people are beyond redemption, give us the Spirit-infused strength to go wherever you need us to go. Let us follow the far-reaching work of Jesus who left behind the security of heaven to reveal and mediate your gracious nature. We offer our words of prayer in the name of the one who continues to show us the way, Jesus Christ. Amen.
