Scripture: Romans 8:38
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thought for the Day:
“Can’t go over it, Can’t go under it, Can’t go around it, Got to go through it!”
This simple chant is a familiar phrase used in preschool songs to teach how to capture an animal on a hunt. Sometimes when hunting an animal it can be so agile, and quick that the only way to catch it is to focus and take it head on. This reminds me of God’s love – a love that is so massive, so aggressive, and so agile that we can’t get around it. His love keeps chasing us down, you can’t go over it, get around it, or go under it. You go right towards it because there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us an unconditional love that can only be measured by the insurmountable grace you give to us daily. Let us embrace your unfailing love so that we may love others as you loved us. Amen.
