Thought for the Day: My friend, Karen Johnson, posted a quote from Dietrich Bonhoeffer on Facebook yesterday. It caught my attention, in part, because I had that quote taped to the small bookcase to the left of my desk… the bookcase that was underwater a week ago. It was good to be reminded of his words:
Being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin
than about courageously and actively doing God’s will.
This is one of those moments when our culture needs to see some courageous living, and I only hope that people see it within the church.
Prayer: Through the power of your Holy Spirit, provide me the strength and courage to assist in your will being done, O God of Heaven and Earth. Amen.
